Technical Navigation Features

Navigation Data

The IT systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of internet communication protocols.

This category of data includes, for example but not limited to, the IP addresses or domain names of computers and terminals used by users, the URI/URL (Uniform Resource Identifier/Locator) addresses of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the server’s response (successful, error, etc.), and other parameters related to the operating system and user’s IT environment.

Such data, necessary for the provision of web services, are also processed for the following purposes:

  • To obtain statistical information on the use of services (most visited pages, number of visitors by time slot or daily, geographical areas of origin, etc.);
  • To monitor the correct functioning of the offered services.

The navigation data do not persist for more than the time strictly necessary and are immediately deleted after their aggregation (unless required for investigating crimes by judicial authorities).

Cookies and Other Tracking Tools

This website uses cookies to ensure the proper use of site content.

The site uses technical and session cookies (non-persistent) strictly limited to what is necessary for safe and efficient navigation. The storage of session cookies on devices or browsers is under the user’s control, while on the servers, at the end of the HTTP sessions, information related to cookies is recorded in the service logs, with retention times strictly necessary for correct functioning.

Functioning of the Banner

The privacy management banner activated on this site prevents any profiling cookies from being activated before the user has given consent. If the user clicks the consent button, all profiling cookies will be activated. If the user chooses to click the customize button, they will customize their choices and decide which profiling cookies to activate. If they click the reject button or the X at the top right of the banner, no profiling cookies will be activated.

The user’s choices will be stored for six months via a technical cookie installed on the device used by the user to access the site. It is important to note that if the user switches devices, such as from a computer to a mobile phone, the choices will not be transferred to the new device, for technical reasons, and must be selected again on the new device.

The user’s choices can be changed at any time by accessing the privacy control panel from the privacy control icon. The new configuration will last for six months.

Third-party profiling cookies are also used on this site as detailed below.

Technical cookies are generally necessary for the correct functioning of the website and to allow navigation; without them, the browser may not be able to display pages correctly or use certain services. For example, a technical cookie is essential to keep the user authenticated during their visit to a website or to store language settings, display preferences, etc. Technical cookies can be further divided into:

  • Navigation cookies, which ensure normal navigation and enjoyment of the website (for example, enabling purchases or authentication for accessing restricted areas);
  • Analytics cookies, similar to technical cookies when used to collect aggregate information on the number of users and how they visit the site;
  • Functionality cookies, which allow navigation based on selected criteria (e.g., language, selected products for purchase) to improve the service provided to the user.

Profiling cookies are used to create user profiles and are generally used to send advertising messages aligned with the preferences expressed by the user during their internet navigation.

Cookies can also be classified as:

  • Session cookies, which are deleted immediately when the navigation browser is closed;
  • Persistent cookies, which remain in the browser for a set period and are used, for example, to recognize the device connecting to the site, facilitating user authentication;
  • First-party cookies, generated and managed directly by the website operator;
  • Third-party cookies, generated and managed by entities other than the website operator, usually under a contract between the website owner and the third party.
